Tend to Your Body in the Way Mothers Were
Meant to Be Cared For
Postpartum is a time when a mother needs deep rest, nourishment, and care—yet so many women move through this season without the support they truly need. Often times mothers prepare through buying the herbs, stocking the freezer, reading the books, and even building the village.
All of which are beautiful tools to accompany a healing a postpartum experience. BUT, if your nervous system never feels safe enough to receive - the care, the nutrients, the support, the rest - None if lands.
Unfortunately, I learned this the hard way, and IÂ had all of the tools, knowledge, even wisdom to support my most recent postpartum.
My healing didnt truly begin until I found safety in my nervous system to trust receive the tender care, nourishing food, beautiful village, and sacred rest that was required to rebuild my mind, body, and spirit in my Sacred Window.Â
None of this was found in a supplement, or a secret recipe. It wasn't even found in the checklists that I had so proudly made in the final weeks of pregnancy.Â
Safety came in rest. In regulation, and in the quiet liminal space between each breath, each night, each new insight into all that my mind and body was ready to release.
Safety came when I was able to soften enough to receive nourishment instead of simply consuming it.
There I found the foundation to everything else in which postpartum healing was built upon.Â
Tending To Your Temple is a gentle postpartum course that teaches you how to return home to yourself through nervous system regulation, embodiment, ancient postpartum wisdom, and daily rituals that help your body remember how to heal.
In this course, I teach the same restorative rituals I share with women in my hands-on practice, including pranayama, self Abhyanga massage, belly binding, holistic breast massage and care, womb massage, and holistic cesarean care. These simple yet powerful practices help create the safety your nervous system needs to truly and deeply receive nourishment, embrace rest, reconnect with your body, and allow healing to unfold.

This Is Me!Why Tending to Your Temple Matters
We often spend months preparing for birth, but very little time preparing for what comes after.
The truth is, postpartum healing isn't just about what you do for your body. It's also about how safe your body feels to receive that care.
You can drink the nourishing broths, take the herbs, rest when you can, and have people around you who want to help. But when your nervous system is stuck in survival mode, it's hard to truly receive any of it.
I know this because I lived it.
Tending to Your Temple was born from my own postpartum journey and the work I do every day with mothers.
It's built on the understanding that healing happens when we create the conditions for it.
Through breath, gentle bodywork, embodiment, warmth, rest, and the timeless wisdom of Ayurvedic postpartum care, you'll learn simple daily practices that help your body soften, your nervous system settle, and your whole being feel supported.
Because every mother deserves more than surviving postpartum.
She deserves to feel cared for, held, and at home in her body again.

Nice To Meet You.
I'm Amy Lowney.
I am simply the one who is passing this wisdom along to you. These teachings are not of my own, but I have spent years learning from multiple different teachers and relishing in the beautiful healing and wisdom of traditional postpartum care so that I can support you more deeply on your own postpartum journey.
I also recently had my fourth baby and had the most intensely beautiful postpartum experience. One that seemed to heal every postpartum before it - using these traditional practices to tend to my own mind, body, and spirit.
I am so happy to meet you. Here is a little bit about me and why I created this course:
I have background as a former pediatric and labor & delivery RN before I became a holistic practitioner in 2019. I now own my own massage therapy practice, Prima Natural Wellness, where I practice as a licensed massage therapist, craniosacral therapist, perinatal yoga instructor, infant massage instructor, and childbirth educator.
On a day to day practice, I work as a Prenatal and Postnatal Massage Specialist, an Infant and Pediatric Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy Specialist, and Adult Craniosacral Therapist.Â
Inspired by my own challenging experience after my third son's birth in 2020, I created this course for mothers facing similar struggles of postnatal depletion, brain fog, depression, and other mood disorders. I felt robbed of the most cherished moments in my postpartum period because I never had the proper resources and tools to fully and recover after giving birth to my three babies.
Two years after my son's birth I was introduced to the wisdom of Ayurvedic approaches to postpartum care. I have practiced Ayurveda for many years prior, so I immediately began to learn and embody the healing principles into my own life - even 2 full years after birth.Â
And I began to heal.Â
I hope one day I will be able to experience the deeply healing practices of traditional postpartum care during my Sacred Postpartum Window, but in the mean time, it is my mission to bring this wisdom to you. If it is up to me, no new mother will have to experience the challenges, isolation, and disease that I experienced after my last baby.
This work is so important to me, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching new mothers how to support themselves and prepare for a deeply sacred, and healing postpartum period.Â
Thank you for being here with me.
